New!

Detailed documentation and software is now available for download! It won't be very useful or exciting without DDF controller boards, available for sale through our new company, Dropout Design.

Documentation

We've created a document to help you build your own super-awesome disco floor. More specific questions can, of course, still be addressed to ddf@mit.edu. It is available in pdf or postscript format.

Software

We've released the DDF firmware, control library, associated XMMS plugin, and various utilities under the GNU General Public License. The latest firmware (v3.1) compiles in AVR-GCC. The tarball includes C code, a compiled hex file, and a guide for programming a DDF Controller. We've also released a set of animations, sized for our 8 module floor.

An older firmware release (for IAR Embedded Workbench) is also available, although 3.1 is now the officially supported revision.

Other

Here's some other miscellaneous support files.
